Diamond Island Stables

In April, the Brownies took a trip to Diamond Island Stables.  They learned about the care of horses and got ride them.  Alayna had a great time and even said she'd love to take lessons at some point!  Today it was Ava's turn with her Daisy troop.  She loved it, too.  We may have to add riding lessons to our summer to-do list.  :)

Ava's Spring Music Program

The kindergarten and first graders at Resurrection had their Spring Concert this evening.  They sang lots of cute songs and had the cutest little hand motions.  Ava was in heaven; she loves to sing, and she had a big smile on her face the whole time!

Ava's teacher is the sweetest!  I'm so glad she had Mrs. Schmitt this year.  She loves her, and I know she will miss her this summer.

Ava and her BFF, Ava!  I think Ava enjoys having the same name as some of her friends.  She also dances with two little girls named Ava!
Cute little Kindergartners!

My Special Dress

My mom brought my First Communion dress over for Alayna to try on.  Surprisingly, it's still in very good shape!  My aunt Mary made this dress for me, and I LOVED it.  I still do, and I'm glad Alayna was able to get a few pictures in it.  I think Ava is already excited about trying it on one day too.

Family Pictures | April 2017

After Alayna's big day, we took some family pictures.  I love these.  :)

Alayna's First Communion

Today Alayna made her First Holy Communion.  It was a beautiful day, and she was excited to share the day with her friends and family.

Last week, Carrie and I took the Alayna and Adam to the church to get photos!  We knew it would be chaotic on the actual day, and I'm so glad we went early.

These pictures were taken today!  We are so proud of this group of kids!

Congratulations, Alayna!

Mt. Vernon Prom 2017

Tonight I chaperoned the Mt. Vernon Prom.  When I switched schools last year, I thought it might be difficult to take over the upperclassmen Spanish classes and actually connect with the students.  Most of them had only had one Spanish teacher until their Senior year.  However, I've been pleasantly surprised, and I absolutely love my juniors and seniors.  I will definitely miss my seniors once they graduate.

It's hard to believe I've known this girl since she was 2!
There was actually another prom going on at the same place we had our prom.  Once I found out that one of my friends was chaperoning her school's prom, we made a plan to meet up in the middle!  I "crashed" her Prom and checked out their decorations and chatted with some other teacher friends while there.
Prom 2017 was definitely a good time!  I loved seeing all the kids dressed up in their fancy outfits.

Home Sweet Home

Nine years ago, we bought our house!  It's so crazy how quickly the years go by!
